In 2019, 103 young people of both sexes, aged between 18 and 35, had the opportunity to develop professional skills and experiences through internships in several Departments at Cornelder de Moçambique (CdM).
It was a record year for the full implementation of a traditional program to support recently graduated students and technicians who have benefited from a platform made available every year, aimed at strengthening the education of Mozambican staff seeking opportunities in the employment sector.
In 2018, the highest number of professional and pre-professional internships were carried out by young finalists and recent graduates from Technical and Higher Education.
In total, 503 young people have had the opportunity to simultaneously have direct contact
with professional and multidisciplinary subjects from Port of Beira and to make their contribution to the growth of the company, in a challenging and dynamic environment since 2008.
It is important to note that some of these young people who stood out for their performance and adaptation to work were selected to be part of the workforce of Cornelder and others had opportunities outside the company.
CdM also announced that employees of the maintenance department received training in Industrial Welding. The training aimed to contribute to the improvement of skills, as workers would be exposed to more opportunities for career progression, thus being properly able to assume other positions and responsibilities in the workplace.
