Invest in Africa (IIA) is a collaboration of private companies, public bodies and donor organizations that support local African businesses by creating access to markets, skills, and finance. The IIA established The African Partner Pool (APP) is the platform that brings businesses together by connecting companies across sectors with local business partners. It is the community where buyers and suppliers can engage one another, discover new opportunities and grow their businesses.
APP helped Adom Properties to identify contracts and tender opportunities with multinational and big companies operating in Ghana. Adom Properties is a hundred percent owned Ghanaian business whose main line of business is construction works with a specialty in road works. They also deal in the rental of construction equipment and material supply. The vision of Adom Properties is to practice safer construction
operations that protect the environment, client, and workforce.
Since becoming a member of APP, Adom Properties have access to contract opportunities and tender alerts from over 13 multinational and big companies. Apart from these opportunities that the APP provides, Adom Properties have also benefitted immensely from the various stakeholder engagements and networking forums organized by IIA. A good example is the APP Buyer and Supplier Forum, which brings together local SMEs and all the procurement directors from the multinational and big companies who source directly from the APP. One excitement for Bright Adom, the CEO of Adom Properties, was winning a contract to supply some equipment to Atuabo Freeport. For Adom, winning the contract was a clear and direct business benefit for local SMEs who are members of the APP.
