A CCJV Supply Chain Subcontractor Extends its Operational Capabilities

Tio Peixe, a Mozambican Company, started its operations in 2008 in Mozambique with a total of 8 people and its focus was the informal markets, distribution of frozen fish. In 2010 it has partnered with IFS, the catering provider of CCSJV, to provide its products for Mozambique LNG Project.

The partnership promoted Tio Peixe product range by more than 100%, as IFS operations grew in Mozambique. For exemple, to responde the demand required by the project, expanded its storage capacity, from 1800t in 2010 to 5000t in 2015, and now with a current capacity of 10,000t. It also invested in logistics, cold storage infrastructure and systems in Maputo. To maintain a dependable supply, they chose to invest in the logistic capacity with a fleet of 20 refrigerated trucks.

This investment, and the company’s continued success, has allowed Tio Peixe to expand its business to supply supermarkets, hotels and restaurants.  The company now employs 75 full time staff across seven locations. Read More
